Commenting on the decision to adopt the Muscle-In brand, IM Elite Fitness Director, Jimmy Irlam said: “We took a long hard look at sports and fitness apparel producers, both mainstream and niche, and were instantly drawn to Muscle-In and its brand positioning. They have been successful in producing a fresh and sophisticated new look to their range of male gym and leisure wear, and its appeal is aligned perfectly to the persona of our own studio.

“Our female clientele have been delighted to hear that a range for the ladies is due to be launched in Spring 2014,” added Jimmy.

Indeed we are already in discussion with several contacts and on a national basis.”

New Brand ‘Muscle-in’ Sets The Trend For Style In The Gym

Muscle-in is the name behind a fresh and sophisticated new look and recently launched range of male gym and leisure wear. Introduced online by UK-based Radical Sportswear, Muscle-In is already receiving rave reviews and being worn by a number of professional sportsmen who have chosen the apparel in favour of more established brands. Indeed, since Muscle-In’s Launch in January 2013, the MI Team has seen a steady increase in the number of guys taking a leap of faith and trying the new Fitness Styled range.

Available at www.muscle-in.com, Muscle-In is seeking to establish a niche in the market for quality performance wear that offers a tailored and fashionable look at an affordable price. Already accepting the accolade of ‘better value than the bigger brands’ and ‘gear of the month’, Muscle-In’s Director Paula Teader states: “With fabric technology taking poll position, Muscle-In clothing is specifically tailored to show off your physique and trim down at the waist. This enhances an overall body look, ensures that you stand out, look amazing and feel even better. After all, the modern man is fashion and body conscious like never before.

“Whether an occasional gym goer or professional sportsman, if you feel good in your look before a workout you will be empowered and will almost certainly perform better in training,” she adds.

The MI Team worked alongside gym goers to design and develop a range that offers functionality, maximum support, comfort and a unique style. It is with this principle and drive that Muscle-In launched alongside the promotional platform ‘Giving You The Edge’

The initial product range takes in tops and shirts, base and compression wear, and bottoms and pants. In order to generate maximum exposure for the brand, Muscle-In features styles that are equally at home within the fitness environment as they are out of it.

Muscle-In Exposed at BodyPower

Muscle-In exposed at BodyPower

Muscle-In is hailing this year’s BodyPower exhibition, held late last month at the NEC, a huge success. As Radical Sportswear director, Paula Teader stated: “It was a big decision to take Muscle-In to BodyPower, however the feedback that we received in relation to both the brand and product range was far greater than anyone anticipated.
“The stand attracted a great deal of interest and it was a great opportunity to meet customers and obtain their feedback, whilst getting the Muscle-In proposition out there amongst the public. What’s more, the increase in online sales and web traffic has been equally as impressive, as were the trade type leads that we are now in the process of following up on,” she added.
Helping promote the brand at BodyPower were a number of MI Team members, including Commonwealth Welterweight Boxing Champion, Denton Vassell, British and English Muay Thai Boxing Champion, Mark Skeer, enhancement specialist, Ainslee Shafto and bodybuilding competitor, Chris Shelmerdine.

Indeed Denton put on a much-appreciated skipping demonstration in front of an enthusiastic audience watching the FitFactor competition on the Saturday of the show. Muscle-In team member, Chris Shelmerdine – recognised as one of the country’s brightest bodybuilding prospects – also made his presence felt at BodyPower by competing in FitFactor and Physique of The Week.

BOXING CHAMPION VASSELL PACKS A PUNCH FOR NEW SPORTS CLOTHING BRAND

Manchester’s undefeated Commonwealth Welterweight boxing champion, Denton Vassell, is throwing his weight behind recently launched fitness and sports clothing brand – Muscle-In.

Currently in training in the build-up to the much anticipated unification clash for the British and Commonwealth welterweight titles at Liverpool Olympia on Friday, June 28th against Frankie Gavin, Vassell is actively endorsing the new sports and fitness clothing range, and will wear it both in and out of the ring.

Launched in January by Manchester-based Radical Sportswear, Muscle-In has been developed and engineered using the latest high quality fabric technology to deliver real performance benefits. Aimed at determined and self-driven individuals who have a strong commitment to the gym or their chosen sport, Muscle-In apparel is tailored specifically to enhance a muscular body shape, whilst delivering a sophisticated yet simple look.

Commenting on the decision to work with Denton, Radical Sportswear director, Paula Teader said: “Denton is a consummate professional. He’s a talented, hard working and dedicated boxer with one main focus in his professional life – becoming World Champion. We’ll certainly be rooting for him in the build-up to his next big fight on June 28th, which will be televised live on BoxNation (Sky Ch 437/Virgin Ch 546). Indeed it is Denton’s personal and professional credentials that attracted us to entice him onboard. What’s more, he is an extremely likeable guy with a positive outlook and we are confident that his energy and enthusiasm for the Muscle-In brand will help increase its popularity. Likewise the MI Team will continue to support and admire Denton as his career develops.”

Having fought on the same card as Freddie Flintoff to secure the Commonwealth title late last year, Vassell made a remarkable return to the ring after a year long absence, stopping Ronnie Heffron in the sixth round to retain his crown. The imminent fight between Vassell and Gavin, which is being dubbed the ‘Battle of Britain’, will be a proper bout between two undefeated boxers who are the best in their weight in the country.

As Denton states: “It’s awesome being part of Muscle-In. All of their clothing is great to wear and it’s a fantastic looking new brand. It fits really well, is very comfortable and it makes me feel confident and sharp whether I’m training in it or out relaxing.”

Because it could prove to be the try that helps the Sharks secure Premiership survival. Another great result for the MI Team and a big well done to Tom and all the squad at Sale Sharks.

JANUARY 2013

NEW RANGE OF FITNESS APPAREL SET TO ‘MUSCLE-IN’
Muscle-In is a new and authentic range of male sports and fitness apparel launched online by UK-based Radical Sportswear Limited. Representing the ultimate in ‘FITNESS STYLED’ clothing, Muscle-In – available online at www.muscle-in.com - is aimed at determined and self-driven individuals who have a strong commitment to their performance in the gym, or arena of their chosen sport, whilst wanting to achieve a more defined, contoured body image.

Created to be functional, aspirational and empowering, the product range centres on the use of advanced and high quality fabrics combined to deliver real performance benefits, engineered using the latest fabric technology. Indeed its creators, Radical Sportswear, are seeking to position Muscle-In as the epitome of specialist sports apparel that has been styled to deliver a sophisticated yet understated look. The introductory range achieves this by cleverly capturing the latest male colour trends within the branding; bright chartreuse green and tangerine tango.

Launched alongside the promotional platform ‘Giving You The Edge’, the initial product range takes in tops and shirts, base and compression wear, and bottoms and pants. In order to generate maximum exposure for the brand, Muscle-In features styles that are equally at home within the fitness environment as they are out of it. Additionally, there is a range of accessories, all of which will be embellished over the coming months.

Commenting on the introduction of the new Muscle-In clothing, director of Radical Sportswear, Paula Teader said: “Muscle-In recognises the growing demand for sports and fitness apparel that offers functional performance and style appeal, and which has been tailored specifically to emphasise the body contoured look. In addition to being a memorable name, Muscle-In has been crafted into a current and modern brand identity that we are confident will appeal to regular gym users.

“Today, for example, the commitment to resistance training and using weights isn’t solely to improve strength and stamina, achieving a ‘ripped look’ is a priority too.  Some men want to be big, but on the whole men want to look as good as they can with improved visible muscle definition, with the emphasis being on attaining a body contoured look, achieved through fitness, healthy diet and lifestyle,” she added.

“Not surprisingly, whilst the brand is being targeted at the 18 – 35 year old, we believe that Muscle-In’s more inclusive and approachable brand personality will lend itself to all sportsmen, irrespective of whether they want to wear Muscle-In for performance and style in the gym, or when they walk onto the arena of whichever sport they play, such as rugby, rowing, lacrosse, football, basketball, hockey, triathlon etc,” she concludes.

Whilst Radical Sportswear is going to market with an initial teaser product range for Muscle-In, plans are already in place to significantly expand the apparel offering, whilst also introducing a bespoke female brand and youth range in the process.
